CME for Anesthesiology Nurses

Program Details

The course provides advanced knowledge on the main areas of professional activity of anesthesiology nurses, including preparation of the patient for anesthesia, correct use of equipment and medications used during anesthesia, as well as development of rapid response skills.

Participants will develop their abilities to ensure patient safety and well-being, taking into account physical and emotional characteristics, learn to recognize the limits of their own actions, assume responsibility within the scope of professional practice, and evaluate their professional performance.

The course also includes strengthening knowledge on infection control regulations and prevention of hospital-acquired infections, as well as developing skills in electronic documentation of patient data.

The course will be delivered in accordance with international standards, including theoretical and practical sessions, interactive exercises, case discussions, hands-on practice on mannequins using simulation devices, group work, and clinical training within real patient care processes.

Participants who complete the course will receive CME credits.

Expected Outcomes

After completing the course, participants will be able to:

  • Ensure patient safety and well-being, considering physical and emotional conditions.
  • Recognize the limits of their actions and take responsibility within their professional field.
  • Justify, evaluate, and reflect on their professional actions.
  • Perform all individual preparatory procedures for anesthesia.
  • Work with ventilation, anesthesia, and other medical equipment according to requirements.
  • Become familiar with the main medications used during anesthesia and their mechanisms of action.
  • Develop skills for proper and appropriate handling of anesthesia instruments, supplies, and medications.
  • Improve knowledge of infection control regulations and prevention of hospital-acquired infections.
  • Perform electronic documentation of patient data.
  • Use institutional regulations, guidelines, and procedures that are regularly updated.
  • Demonstrate rapid response skills relevant to their field of activity.
